PRESIDENT’S LETTER 

I have the honour and pleasure of writing this letter soon after taking over from Mr. Pradeep Kumar as Director, IRIMEE, Jamalpur on 24th January. The opportunity of being associated with this great Institution where I spent four important, memorable and very happy years of the formative period of life makes me feel privileged and overjoyed. At the same time I am aware that this circumstance also places on me a heavy responsibility to contribute to the growth & progress of this Institution. I will warmly and heartily welcome your guidance, assistance and participation in this task.

I am glad to mention that implementation of the agreement with BIT, Ranchi for a collaborative degree programme for SCAs is well in progress. The 1998 batch have successfully completed their 1st semester under this programme. This important initiative taken by Mr. Pradeep Kumar with the active guidance and support of the Board will go a long way in further improving and strengthening the training of SCAs.

It is heartening to notice the optimism and enthusiasm that permeates amongst SCAs at Gymkhana and the Institute. I look forward to a very fruitful and rewarding association with Gymkhana, Gymkhanites and SAM magazine. 

SAM magazine has been coming out regularly twice a year with the co-operation of all concerned. However, to keep up and further improve upon this good work I request for more liberal contributions in the form of articles and advertisements.
